Frequently Asked Questions

The dry season from June to October offers the best game viewing as animals gather around water sources. January to March is also excellent, with fewer crowds and the calving season in the Serengeti. The Great Migration typically crosses the Mara River between July and September.

All safari packages include a private safari guide, luxury 4x4 jeep, all national park and conservation fees, full-board accommodation (breakfast, lunch, dinner), drinking water, and airport/hotel transfers. International flights are not included.

All Wakali safaris are private — you will not be grouped with strangers. Each vehicle is a private luxury 4x4 jeep with a pop-up roof for excellent game viewing, accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably.

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can apply for an e-Visa online before your trip or obtain a visa on arrival at the airport. We recommend applying in advance to avoid queues. Our team can provide guidance on the application process.

Absolutely! Many of our guests combine a Northern Circuit safari with a Zanzibar beach holiday or a Kilimanjaro climb. We handle all logistics including domestic flights and transfers so your transition between experiences is seamless.

Yes! Tanzania safaris are a wonderful family experience. Our guides are experienced with families and we select family-friendly lodges and routes. Children of all ages are welcome, though we recommend children be at least 5 years old for the best experience.
